Modalities for setting up a business
In order to improve the business environment, the Congolese government created an organ functioning like a “one-stop shop” for issues of setting up, modifying and closing of businesses. The Centre for Business Modalities is charged with:
- Receiving and informing economic operators on activities of the One-Stop Shop ;
- Communicating the list of documents to be submitted according to the nature of the declaration and to ensure the conformity of each file ;
- Processing applications in collaboration with concerned administrations and bodies ;
- Ensuring respect of legal deadlines for legal treatment of files and conformity to required modalities with concerned administrations and bodies ;
- Initiating, proposing and implementing every action aimed at improving its organization and functioning through constant analysis of needs expressed by economic operators.
It comprises:
- The Departmental Commercial Directorate, for issuing authorization for practice ;
- The Departmental Directorate for Labour, for matriculation of practice ;
- The registry of the Commerce Tribunal : for establishment of the commerce registry ;
- The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Professions (CCIAM) : for registration ;
- The National Social Security Fund (CNSS): for registration and social security of workers (retirement, professional accidents, child deliveries etc.);
- The National Institute of Statistics (INS): for obtention of SCIET-SCIEN numbers;
- The departmental directorate of taxes : for the establishment of NIU ;
